USMNT Concacaf Nations League final vs. Mexico

On Sunday night, the U.S. men's national soccer team plays rival Mexico for the chance to win the Concacaf Nations League for a record third time. In 2021 and 2023, the USMNT emerged victorious in both Concacaf Nations League seasons. It took a near-miracle for the United States to get to this position. An own goal deep into stoppage time sent Thursday's semifinal against Jamaica into extra time, where the USMNT overcame to win 3-1 after trailing 1-0 for the majority of the match. In the other semifinal, Mexico defeated Panama with relative ease, winning 3-0. In preparation for this summer's Copa America, USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter hopes to utilize these last two Concacaf Nations League games as a springboard.
